"Coconut Grove started as a secret. I wrote and recorded it in deliberate solitude over the course of a year, in long sessions when I was alone at home or after everyone else had gone to sleep. I had the uncanny sense of discovering something quite old rather than of making something new. Every album I've made revealed itself over time - Coconut Grove snaked it's way through my psyche, going back to my beginnings. While working on it, I found some notes I had jotted down back in 2006, when I was 22 and first inching away from punk towards electronic music. I wrote that I had been dreaming of something humid and menacing, melting but also alluring. I heard some of that in the haunting, dubby minimal techno of the time, and imagined it crossed with the slashing urgency of my favorite no wave and post-punk bands. I imagined the catharsis I experienced as a performer rerouted through techno's mercurial endlessness. Those visions never left me, and I've been dreaming of them in one way or another ever since. Coconut Grove folded that time back onto the present, letting me start again from the beginning. A lot can happen in a year, and, at the risk of sounding coy, a lot happened to me in 2018. Coconut Grove was an exorcism, or maybe a rebirth, but whatever it was it moved with a little extra fluidity. You can hear it for yourself, but I will say the album's softer touch is no accident. Impressive!
Pattern Name: Graceful（12 Sets）
These are very pretty looking off and on the face. The sticky backing can be tough to peel off without damaging things, my first attempt landed me with a destroyed sticker, be careful removing them from the film because i started with my finger and its very easy to accidentally rip the gems off the backing. I used a sewing pin to get under it and lift it up enough to grab it and it peels off easily after that, so definitelygive that a try so you dont learn the hard way like i did. Also it stayed on my face shockingly well for a good 10 hours. sweat made it a bit wiggly when it got really wet but even when it got soaked down I was able to just press or tap it back onto my face while drying my face with a fan and it sticks again 98% as well as a fresh one does once it's dryer, I was worried about sweating these off but I hardly had to check on or adjust them much once the sun set and things cooled off. The backing does a good job and you can't really see it behind the gems unless you're really tying to see it. I definitely don't regret buying these one bit and would recommend for others!
