一般的情況下、都是酒蔵使用從農家那邊購買的酒米。
但櫛羅是使用千代酒造自己種植的酒米而釀造而成，是千代酒造其下一個較為獨特的名牌。
生酒特有的新鮮感、和感覺鮮明的辛辣感，再加上彷似篠峯的酸味、是櫛羅的特徵。此外、亦能清楚感受到無濾過生原酒應有的濃郁米味。
使用不同酒米或採用速醸、生酛、山廃製法等等、令他們的酒造出多種不同味道、而且大部分都是生酒。充分發揮濃郁香醇的米味、同時帶著微炭酸那清新口感的篠峯在日本也十分受歡迎。日本著名酒類銷售店大多數都有售賣篠峯、現在十分受注目的一所酒蔵。
